Miss Mollie Scott with Indian women lace makers. Miss Scott carried out educational missionary work with women in the Madras district from 1896 to 1939.
The Madras [now Tamil Nadu] District was the first mission to be established in India in 1817. Rev. Harwood Raw served in Madras from 1896 until his premature death in 1905 from cholera.
